I think the Pzeros are too extreme for a vehicle that would be street driven/tracked on the rare occasion. Those would get chewed out really quickly, wouldn't they ?

They definitely would, but they would provide much more traction. With that soft of a compound, you wouldn't be that worried about tire spin when utilizing the launch control.

Too bad no Cup 2's but Trofeo R gets my vote. It's the most expensive tire in those 3.... might as well opt for it especially if it will(?) be a no cost option.

And then I'd get another set of wheels w/ street tires for street use... save the Trofeos for the track. YMMV.

Where did you get this information? As far as I know, it is incorrect. The Pilot Supersports are not an option.

All the reviews mentioned two optional track tires: the Pilot Sport Cup 2, and the Pirelli. A few people on Prime who actually ordered a car asked about the PSS and were told they are not an option.

I don't understand why reviewers keep bringing up the Michelin tires since they aren't available.
The three options were mentioned around the 3:45 mark and TLFCar said the same thing too.

Those were the sources I believe I got the information from. TimberWolf, do you think it could possibly be a location thing, or does it seem like an all around consensus ?

That's what I was thinking since most sources I've seen since release and even the manufacture page had reported just one better option. I think if this 3rd tire option was true Acura would make it a point to get publications to also test it like they did with the 2 we know we have.

The pilot sports cup 2 do seem like a better option anyhow.

Pilot supersport is not the same as the sport cup 2. The first is a street tire in the same category as the Contis. The sport cup 2 is a street-legal track tire in the same category as the previously-mentioned pirellis. From what I read, Acura offers 2 track tires because either one may not be available depending on stock, so offering two choices would mean more availability.
