NightWing 200 units will make it really desirable, but it needs to be up to a certain standard to be that limited and sell. They really have to make it special at that point

RedNSX How many should Acura limit the Tyope R production to? 200 units so it retains its value?

NightWing Very true, let's hope that ones limited to a decent amount though

|\|SX The NSX Type R will most likely be that one model people go after and can profit off of, but aside from that everything else as far as I can see will be their mainstream trims.

NightWing For sure, maybe if a very limited edition comes out, but otherwise it wouldn't be worth the time and efforts

You could probably make a little off of it, but nothing worth the effort, just an extra that comes out of wanting to sell it just for getting rid of it and nothing else. The market is just way too crowd and competitive for me to see people paying some crazy premium just to get one. I wouldn't.

NightWing That kind of helps for resale then. Not sure by how much though considering it'll be sold in more years to come..

Do you think this will end up like the Ferrari's where the first year of each model ends up fetching a higher price than the rest of the production runs ?

FastAndFurious It may be less than 2000 units per year. someone did the math and it's more like 800 per year.

Rick H got his VIN 001 on April 28th per news articles...
I give them two months to crank it up to 20/wk for a while...
80/month is 800/year...
(8-10/day is 160-200/mo and I guess that is not going to happen anytime soon)
How many dealers will get cars?
If you guess 25% of the Acura dealers get cars, that's 500 of 2000, so any dealer might get 2-4/year...
Sounds like it will be a rare treat/feat to see a Production unit, let alone get your hands on one...

Yes I did see one cruizing Hwy111 in Palm Desert in March, and I was SHOCKED that one was on the street...
It turned out to be a half dozen or so touring for "track & road testing" with Journalists... That is why you see so many new videos and articles in March-April of this year...

Still waiting for SN TBD... it's now been almost 3 years...

|\|SX My guess is they at least sold 2000 of these. Haven't seen any specified production numbers for the first batch. Maybe later this year we'll hear about it. Could just be the sort of thing that requires asking a dealer or just waiting for an interview with some Acura head.
