That's understandable with the higher end models that costs quite a bit for repairs if anything happens on a test drive.

A test of sorts to weed out those who just wants a joy ride from those who actually want to buy.

and if they do let you out on the road in their highly-unlikely-to-have demo car you can GUARANTEE they will be asking for a credit card before you get anywhere near the steering wheel.

That should depend on the dealer and how serious they see you are about getting one. Wouldn't doubt they get people that aren't completely serious about getting it or a vehicle in the segment.

the i8 won't offer the same experience IMO. No car in this price bracket offers the same as the NSX.
