Nurbrurgring is unique as there is no other track open year round that offers the same mix of challenging surface and flat out straights and chassis wrenching cornering forces. The only other one I can think of is La Sarthe and that's not available in proper configuration year round

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I had to do in depth research and know everything to post on this forum. :/

The speed limits were imposed because of a Nissan GT-R fatal crash during a race.

I guess the speed limits aren't too restrictive though because the NSX seems to be going pretty quickly around the track.

St.Who Oh of course, but you might think that they would go to a different track just so that they can go as fast as they'd like. Every time I see the NSX on the Nurburgring I just think of when the NSX caught fire. I keep wondering if that is what they are testing for.

it's not all about testing for speed, there are MANY other things they look for, especially with the NSX which isn't some straight line king.

Acura NSX Runs the Nurburgring Despite New Speed Limits

Nurburgring has imposed new speed limits on the track recently. This move was done to stop manufacturers from trying to set lap records. Still, Acura is testing the NSX on the Nurburgring anyway.

The speed limits were imposed because of a Nissan GT-R fatal crash during a race.

I guess the speed limits aren't too restrictive though because the NSX seems to be going pretty quickly around the track.
