Sharky My friend from DSRLeasing told me it's about 6-7 weeks, though you better check it all with the dealer! Cheers.

Directly from the NSX Manual

Paint Care

Your vehicleís paint requires up to 60 days from the production date to fully cure. During this

time, avoid applying any wax or paint sealant-type products, as they could hinder the curing

process and affect the paintís durability.

You may polish the paint during these 60 days if the polishes do not contain any wax or paint

sealant ingredients. Use only clean, high-quality microfiber towels or pads, as they are softer

material and have less chance of scratching the finish. It is absolutely necessary to keep the

microfiber towels or pads properly cleaned and maintained before using on your vehicle.

For more information, contact an authorized Acura NSX dealer.

Avoid Rainy Days

I am playing it safe with mine for the first 6 weeks (two weeks transit and delivery curing time before I received mine). I'm just going to drive one of my other vehicles and reserve the NSX for sunny days. I won't have to worry about washing during that period and will ensure that the paint is properly cured before I do. Funny thing I've always washed other new cars and I can't see that the paint on this car is any different, but when you pay $$$$ for something like the NSX it suddenly becomes a consideration.

TimberWolf Your dealer should have received a paint handling TQF providing instructions on paint care for the first 60 days. Basically, no waxing/sealing/PPF for the first 60 days. Hand wash only, no clay bar (no idea why, as this doesn't leave any residue on the paint), but you can polish the paint provided the polish is a straight polish and doesn't contain any wax.

Paint Curing time

Just wanted to see if anyone had factual information about the curing time for the paint on the new NSX? And how much time should be allowed to pass prior to washing the car and putting a clear protection film on the vehicle?

The dealer I spoke with said 60 days but they didn't really know but said that was a generalized discussion.
