1fastAcura lol well there's no other efficient way, just sticking it on and eyeing it doesn't fly on a professional level, maybe with a backyard mechanic, we're talking about one of the biggest car makers here, there are processes and procedures to follow.

RedNSX I had assumed that the badges are mechanically added for mass produced models, didn't know they would do it by hand even with models like the Honda Civic.

Shawn Yea.. the badge application is never just free hand, stick em' on. There always using a stencil to ensure it's straight and exactly where it should be. The video itself is pretty darn cool though. That paint process is real nice though, 11 coats is definitely quite the amount !

1fastAcura well, even with mass produced cars badges are applied by hand. it's the same process, they have a stencil and stick it on according to where its designated to go. not the sort of thing i've seen automated as yet, might not be worth it. like badges there are many things also done by hand with vehicles mass produced like Civic's, Corolla's, etc.

RedNSX Nothing is just slapped on when it comes to the NSX. Just found this from Acura and this is how they stick on the badge in the rear. A protective plate dedicated to just one job.
