Can you stick a diesel engine in a acura nsx?

I've seen an acura with a 6.1 hemi engine that you get from a dodge charger srt-8. So can you put a 6.7 cummins diesel engine in one.

A diesel engine and trans out of a truck probably weighs about half what the entire NSX weighs. Not only would you need to redo the entire car to handle the weight the torque would bend your car.

Live and learn. /Keep on learning as long as you live

I would never do this, rather build off of the powertrain setup it already runs, some guys have put superchargers on them with great results.

Not really interested. I just am not sure what the benefit would be. I'm already excited about the NSX power train. I'd at least want to experience that for a while before I consider putting a different engine in.

Does it make sense to make a hybrid that is one half diesel? Is all that torque really needed?

It could throw off the dynamics of the NSX, since the rest of the vehicle would have to complement the rest of the vehicle, it all has to work in harmony.

Plus this is just the beginning, can't throw all their eggs into it all at once

It could be a good thing to come out with in the next model year to keep things fresh and interesting.

Ultimately those incremental improvements, even improvements that keep it relevant in the industry, is what they'll want to do. Already they said the new NSX as we currently know it just wont stop their.

I question whether a diesel would ever happen only because I have not heard of one diesel hybrid ever. There must be a reason for that.
