Majority of tracks that I know require a minimum of a helmet for safety reasons

It's a standard safety practice they encourage you to do but also most have you sign some documents having you agree that what ever happens on the track they won't be responsible for. So it's more of an obvious precaution you take out of your own safety.

The waivers are a given since you're risking your life on their property. Anyone going to get seat harness?

If I go the Type R route if they come out with a Type R NSX, then I might since the seats offered might be harness friendly. If not i'll get some special race seats for the NSX with a harness. Going to be pricey but worth it. Might be something that helps me get in more track time

The NSX seats were not made for harnesses so if you want some, you'll have to get separate seats put in. The bigger question would be if you actually need a harness. They're generally reserved for dedicated track cars and they may not be U.S.D.O.T. tested or certified if you plan to use the NSX as a daily driver on streets.

Yea .. that's a bit too much effort for me. I would only track on the occasion so stock seat belts are good

I took a look at the possible insurance options for track days and a fully loaded NSX exceeded the policy limit. Best to check with your insurance to see if your NSX is eligible. A market value higher than the limit put forth by your insurance will need to be approved of.
