I hope we see the Precision sedan in the new sedans, but I don't think the Precision sedan will become a production model.

Might see some of this in an RLX refresh.
Hope they replace the current grille design with the Precision grille if they do plan to base the RLX's refresh on it. Maybe we'll see hints of it on the TLX too.

When is the TLX getting an update that would be significant enough for them to take another crack at the grille design?

Doubt it'll be anytime soon. They just came out with a 2016 TLX.

So is a different Acura sedan coming sooner than the next TLX that we will get to possibly see a new grille on?

Don't know, not unless Acura comes out with a new sedan model. ILX, TLX, and RLX has a 2016 model. They probably won't need a refresh in the near future.

Fact is there is space for one but the question of it this will turn into something on a production level is a whole different story. No confirmation, no direction of what can happen... so far. We'll have to wait. But the way I see it, some sound idea got them here, good potential to turn into something real.

Would be great if they trickled down the headlight, grille and that huge dash into a production model.

I would like to see it make its way to some sedan larger than the RLX or on a RLX successor, it's only been out for a few years and already it look much older. Plus sales aren't that great, Acura needs to do something and that should factor in.

Or a crossover if Acura wants to rake it in. Crossovers and compact SUVs seems to be pretty popular these days.
