NSX Hot Lap

Professional driver Randy Pobst hot laps the Acura NSX at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Great video as they have a real time speedometer in the bottom left of the screen showing us how fast the NSX accelerates out of corners.

Always enjoy watching him race around a course. Used to watch him when he was on Roadkill a few times, he's great !

The NSX does pull very nicely out of the corners though, obviously thanks to those electric motors up front.

If your looking for a track toy, this may not be the best option out there especially if you're the type to do the sort of modifications that help to get more power and torque, I have a feeling McLaren's 570 and 540 will have better aftermarket support. For the NSX, it might be more of a wait. But for the most part in this segment anything you choose will be good, all down to preference, a test like this doesn't do much.

The NSX may to be the best track sports car but it'll still be fun to fling around the track. As the saying goes, Jack of all trades, master of none. Except fuel economy.

Well that can be said about a lot of cars, your on a track, an environment that has few limits compared to what we're used to. But someone looking a real track toy will see flaws in this that don't exist elsewhere. But at this point we just have to be patient, this is just the first iteration of the NSX. One thing for sure things can be done to make it an ideal track toy, it just doesn't come like it out of the box.

Well of course, you can make anything an ideal track toy by throwing the right mods on it. Out of the box the NSX is just a humble, well-rounded vehicle that looks sleek and gorgeous and exotic

Yeah but look what this topic originally started off on and you'll see that good enough just isn't good enough, it's a comparison and the NSX is too far down in the list when looking at performance and price.

Now you've lost me. The topic originally started off with a video of it around the track and a review to go with. No comparison really, but if there must be a comparison, performance to price, not worth it. Creature comforts and all tied in, a contender nonetheless.
