Drag races like these are fun to watch but I wouldn't look too much into it, there's no telling is each vehicle is base spec or if they're sporting a nice set of track only tires.

That's pretty much it. When it comes down to things like these as well, manufacturers send people out to prep these cars and make sure they're ready to play at peak performance, if not a little better. This is more of an entertainment point rather than some real testing that actually means anything.

Wish they drag raced the NSX and the BMW i8. It won't really affect my final purchase decision but those two models are each other's main competitors. Would be interesting to see who wins and how big of a gap they have.

The BMW i8 only has 357hp and 420lb-ft of torque combined. I don't think they're in the same range. Other than pricing sort of, that's pretty much it lol

Being that they're in a similar segment you'll typically find that a comparison will happen since the odds are there's many people trying to decided between buying either one.

Comparing them in every other aspect then yeah, but in a drag race... nope. Technology filled, sleek, aesthetically they're definitely comparable.

Maybe not in a drag race but they're both the more affordable hybrid sports cars in the same segment. May not have the same power but everything else can be compared.

Well yeah for the most part it will come down to cost, looks, technology for most people since driving these around locally that's whats impacting you most compared to someone trying to turn one of these into a track toy.

A daily drive comparison test would be great; quick stop at the store, weekend drive on the curvy roads, golf day, etc.

They need to be tested and compared in more "tame" scenarios. A more day-to-day lifestyle sort of comparison rather than anything else really.
