Acura NSX vs Honda Fireblade SP

Just found it interesting to watch the NSX go up against a superbike. Not surprised the bike won since it weighs a lot less but still good to watch.

A bike would easily win regardless, it's able to go through turns faster and come out of them faster, the NSX not so much and that alone makes a big difference in time. Often it's in the turns that some cars or bikes move up a position.

It's all just power to weight. That and the bike being so tiny, it's just that much more maneuverable to work in it's favor.

The NSX actually looks like it can catch up at the bends and turns but the bike always pulls away at the straights.

That's actually quite surprising considering that's a liter bike designed for the track. That thing is no joke !

You can see the NSX get pretty close around a few of the bends which is surprising to me too. Super bikes were designed for very tight corner turns and the rider seems very experienced. YI'd assume that combination would help the Fireblade SP pull way ahead but that's not the case.

Yupp.. we may just not be giving the NSX enough credit, seems to be proving itself quite well on the track.

I think the NSX does so well in turns is because of the electric motors that gives it instantaneous power when it's making a turn.

Those front motors really do help a significant amount it seems. Instantaneous torque with some grippy tires just translates to pulling into and out of a turn with ease
