What I've been waiting for! old NSX vs new NSX

I've been waiting for this video for awhile now.

Watching the old NSX 2005 and the new NSX 2017 take on the road and the track comparison.

The old NSX never fails me, til this day, it's still a classic to me.

Of course, technology has made it's way the new 2017 is a beast!

Watch the comparison:

it would be pretty embarrassing if the old NSX beat the new one, partly because of time and partly because of the major price difference.

Indeed that would be very embarassing... new Nsx with twin turbo got smoked by old NSX... could you just imagine that.

Nonetheless, they're both great cars.

I like how they kept the slender build :)

It's classy.

Purists are going to keep complaining that the new NSX doesn't come with a manual transmission but the dual clutch NSX beats the old one in terms of performance and lap time.

I think they picked the old one because it's so iconic and they can't get past that.

Well with there being over a decade between the two and with the changes in the industry Acura has to keep up with, this is the only result. Any less would position them poorly among the competition. If they were doing frequent updates much like what Audi has done with the R8, then yes there is concern for if the successor will be better than the predecessor.

Indeed it's one ionic ride. Up to this day, I could still imagine driving that without thinking, it's an old school car. I do think they picked the right one to work out of. It's two bad they didn't have manual transmission and used dual clutch. Nonetheless, both still great cars to me :)
