NSX Superbowl Ad

Here is the 30-second ad to be shown at the Superbowl:

Here is an article about the song:

They certainly have the video timed perfectly with the music but is it memorable? Not quite sure.

Great ad but not Super Bowl level.

Agreed. It's more like a normal TV commercial. I just watched a few other super bowl ads and they were awesome!

The old one was so much better but I guess Acura didn't want to spend that much for a almost 2 minute ad.

Seinfeld is not cheap, but they still could have done something a bit more stand out.

The more memorable ones are comedic in nature. Don't think it's a budget concern because Van Halen isn't exactly cheap either.

Having seen a few articles now running down the automotive ads from Super Bowl 2016, Acura was ending up near the bottom of the rankings. It's not a bad commercial, the problem is there is nothing great about it. The Super Bowl is the big time, and a commercial like this just doesn't stand out from the crowd.

Seems like the ad actually did something if Edmunds.com's Super Bowl traffic analysis is accurate. They saw a spike in NSX traffic after the ad, around 7,836 %. Not sure how many people actually went to Acura's site to check out the latest NSX.

Well that's expected, targeting that large of an audience you're bound to get some conversion right away. But I bet in the days following that viewership will die down FAST.
