NSX Safety Car

Seems like the NSX has been adopted to be a safety car for some sort of Formula racing series in Japan. I could only find the hashtag #SFormula throughout the pictures to be honest but I couldn't find too much searching through google.

safety cars are used to limit the speed of race cars on the track if there are obstructions or if the weather is bad. they have to enter the track ahead of the leader so I assume exceptional launch time is needed, and as a hybrid that's what the NSX has in spades.

Safety cars can be a variety of models, but it makes sense to use the NSX at F1 races in Japan. That is Honda's home base.

After doing some quick searching, that does make sense. The Suzuka Circuit is owned by the Honda Motor Company lol.

But you're right. Security cars range from every track you go to. Seen AMG GTs, Audi R8s, **** at one point even a Lamborghini Countach was used as an official safety car !

Light bar on top has me thinking what an NSX police car could look like, in the 90's Japanese police had some:

But now we're more likely to see Dubai police have one, very realistic and practical given what they have in their fleet

Most of the time, you see a Mercedes vehicle and one year there was even a SLS AMG Gullwing. Good to see a bit more variety in the safety car team.

The Dubai police will definitely have one. They're fleet for show-cars/tourist attraction is just mind blasting.

To think it all started in April 2013 with a Lamborghini Aventador and progressed to such a spectacle.

Out of everything they have the NSX might just be one of those cool cars they put up for real police duty and just for community engagement. With all those fast cars in Dubai they need something reasonably fast and reliable to keep up.

It would be cool, but extremely unrealistic for real police duty. It's pointless. You aren't going to put a bash bar on the front of it lol

Can't see these being used at all. Just not feasible in any way.
