I noticed that the GT3 NSX has a powerful set of fog lights, think that'll be an option or come as standard in the next NSX based vehicle?

It's possible.. Sidenote: Found this in the rules and regulations about lighting :
Quote:
32.17 The car’s white headlights, red rear lights and rear fog lights must be illuminated at all times when it is running on a track that has been declared a “wet track”.
It shall be at the discretion of the Race Director to decide if a driver should be stopped because the lights are not working. Should a car be stopped in this way, it may re-join the Event when the fault has been remedied.

The new models spawned from the current NSX may not have fog lights unless it's an SUV type of vehicle. The GT3 may have them but the current outgoing NSX doesn't.

The Type R may get fogs, but I don't see them updating the regular one and having it.

I find that odd as well though, I can definitely understand the importance for the rear, but wouldn't it also greatly help front visibility ?

I think I see why the NSX doesn't come with fog lights. Fog tends to hover about 12 to 18 inches off the ground but the NSx is already so low to the ground, it's headlights can project into that fog free pocket.

Makes me wonder why the GT3 has it.

Hm.... I didn't know that. Maybe it's optional ?

I know they're allowed to make a certain level of changes to their vehicles, of course not enough to make them significantly faster or anything, but it could be included in one of those things perhaps ?

GT3 probably has it for safety reasons since these often in racing they have rules around that. If you look at some of the driving conditions they drive under you'll see why this is important. In rain it helps

Has anyone noticed that the front wheel wells are lit up too?
