Maybe the GT3 will race in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) category. This one features cars that are based on production models but are heavily engineered for more performance. This way, Honda can show off what they can do to the NSX in the future.

It would be intense if they came out with an NSX LM

It wouldn't be the first time a Japanese car maker did it. Nissan did something on a production level for the R33 GT-R. Depending on how the NSX as we currently know it does in sales, we could see some special versions come to market.

But at this point its hard to say what Acura could do, if they'll delve into developing various models or just stick to a few.

All we can look forward to now is the NSX GT3 racing next year. Who will it be competing against?

Nick Robinson told Autocar that the GT3 will affect the future development of the NSX!

Quote:
"What works well on the track will inform future iterations and updates of the street car and vice versa."
So i'm guessing if some changes to the platform performed spectacularly then it could make its way to the next gen NSX.

Weird that something like the Bentley Continental is going to race against a sports car like the NSX. Isn't it a luxury coupe designed for comfort?

It is, but with the right modifications, it'll fit right in. Remember, they're all subjected to stay within certain parameters when it comes to power, weight, tires, etc. to try and get them as close to even as they can.

The Porsche 911 will be the most interesting one to look at compared to the NSX since in a way they are sort of like each other, just that with the NSX you don't have some of the elegance that comes with a 911, especially these days.
