I don't think they would make the all-electric a targa top.. Just because an all-electric alone is good enough to be a big deal. Throw a targa on the hybrid and the hybrid will also have a hype.

Removing the top would reduce the body weight of the NSX and if they don't go with an all electric power train, the weight difference could be significant. Not sure how much weight you need to take off for a marginal increase in performance.

I don't think there's any reason not to make the targa top limited to a specific version of the NSX, it should be available right across the range unless we're talking about some super high performing NSX that's really track focused.... then no roof options.

It's gonna be some sort of special addition I think. I'm pretty sure it won't be an option kind of thing.

Not special edition, more like a variant if you're talking about a Targa. A type R would be the special/limited edition model.

Still hoping to see a pure electric NSX setup with four electric motors, like the one that they raced with at Pikes peak.

I highly doubt that'll happen at this point since the full electric variant didn't win first place. don't think Honda would put too much money into developing a platform that didn't give them results.

I'm not too sure about that. Because they didn't win, it gives them more reason to go back, look at the data logs, make changes and compete again.

When the all electric NSx comes out, they'll have to compete with Tesla's new P100D. Are there any competition between the two?

Gotta see what price is looking like for an all electric NSX. The Tesla P100D with ludicrous mode is starting at roughly $150k. Hitting 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds is pretty impressive. Speeds comparable to a 918 apparently.

all electric NSX will more than likely be right around the $200k mark. beyond that i'm not sure if they'll have any luck selling it. that will work just as long as it can perform just as well or better than the BMW i8, seeing the lead Acura has here over BMW, they should take advantage of it.
